Composition 9/11

Avoiding Mergers: The photo shows the man's forehead cut off on the left, and the other man in the right has part of his body cut off by the border of the photo.

Balance: The photo displays asymmetrical balance, creating depth between the larger buildings and the small buildings in the right of the photo. The photo also shows a good arrangement of dark and light, and does not appear lopsided.

Framing: The surrounding first responders act as a frame and attracts attention towards the man in the middle of the photo.

Leading Lines: Diagonal lines from the building, fence, and light give this photo a dynamic feeling and guides the attention of the photo from left to right.

Rule of Thirds : The first responders' faces (especially the one pointing)  are in the upper-right corner, displaying Rule of Thirds. This creates a more appealing photo, and gives enough space for the first responders to "move".

Simplicity: The buildings has a simple blue background, which sets the focus towards the explosion and debris.
